FRENCH FRIGATE ANCHORED IN SPLIT PORT

SPLIT, Nov 13 (Hina) - A French naval frigate under the name of "Comandant Ducuing" arrived in Split on Friday for a three day visit to the Croatian Navy (HRM) and the city of Split. The ship's commander Jean-Francois Souma along with other officers on the ship, were hosted by Brigadier Mate Rabotega, and met with the High Commander of the HRM, vice-admiral Vid Stipetic. High ranking HRM officers informed their guests with the set up and development within the HRM, along with the education of officers and junior officers and the training of navy soldiers. Professional cooperation between the Croatian and French Naval Forces was discussed in the talks. France's military attach? in Croatia, Brigadier Jean-Pierre Decool, was present with officers of the French frigate. A separate reception hosted by Split-Dalmatian County Prefect Branimir Luksic and the Split Mayor Branimir Luksic was held on Friday in honour of the French Naval officers. During their stay in Split the French officers will inspect HRM vessels. The French Naval frigate will be opened to the public on November 14 and 15, from 3pm to 5pm in Split's northern port where the ship is anchored. (Hina) ab/sp
