A delegation from the eastern Croatian town of Vukovar, headed by Mayor Vladimir Stengl, laid wreaths at the Vukovar cemetery and in front of a stone cross by the Vuka river's mouth into the Danube, in honour of all Vukovar citizens buried on cemeteries across Croatia. Vukovar's cemeteries were also visited by large numbers of Vukovar citizens living across Croatia and still waiting for their return to Vukovar. They laid wreaths by a cross in front of the mass grave in Ovcara, near Vukovar, where 200 wounded soldiers and civilians were killed by the former Yugoslav People's Army and Serb paramilitary units in November 1991.
