US COMPANY PARTICIPATES IN REORGANISATION OF CRO DEFENCE MINISTRY

ZAGREB, Oct 30 (Hina) - Croatian Defence Minister Pavao Miljavac and the US company MPRI (Military Professional Resources Inc.) vice president, retired general Carl E. Vuono, signed a contract on a long-range management programme (LRMP) in Zagreb on Friday. "We agreed today to continue our successful cooperation with the MPRI in the part of the programme we call long-range management", said Miljavac following the signing ceremony. There are two programmes in the Defence Ministry - one is directed towards enhancing the combat readiness of Croatia's armed forces while the other one, signed today, focuses on the reorganisation of the Croatian Armed Forces' Main Headquarters and Defence Ministry, Miljavac said. "There has been intense activity on the reorganisation of the Defence Ministry and the Main Headquarters for more than a year and a half and this programme is only the continuation of the transition programme, primarily in the Defence Ministry and the Main Headquarters", Miljavac concluded. MPRI vice president Vuono said his company was very satisfied with its cooperation with the Croatian Defence Ministry and armed forces and looked forward to future cooperation and Croatia's democratic development.
