SARAJEVO, Sept 27 (Hina) - International Stabilisation Force in
Bosnia-Herzegovina confirmed the arrest of a Bosnian Serb war
crimes suspect on Sunday.
Stevan Todorovic was arrested early this morning by the SFOR Multi-
National Division "North" from Tuzla and transferred to The Hague,
SFOR stated.
The 41-year-old police officer was indicted for crimes against
humanity and violations of the law and customs of war.
According to the Hague indictment, Todorovic organised, instigated
and commanded the crimes against civilians in Bosanski Samac,
northern Bosnia, in 1992, while he held the office of town police
superintendent.
Todorovic was on the list of the Hague Tribunal's public
indictments and his arrest was carried out in line with the SFOR
mandate and upon orders by NATO Secretary General Javier Solana and
Gen. Wesley Clark, the allied forces' commander in Europe.
The arrest was carried out without any incidents.
The SFOR command stresses that the international community is
determined to bring all suspects before the Tribunal and calls on
all sides in Bosnia-Herzegovina to fulfil their obligations from
the Dayton peace agreement.
