ZAGREB, Sept 17 (Hina) - At a closed session on Thursday the
Croatian government adopted a report of the Croatian Privatisation
Fund and decided to initiate a discussion on restructuring economy
in the eastern-most town of Ilok.
According to the government's Communications Office, about 3,500
displaced persons have returned to Ilok. It is necessary to provide
them with conditions for work and existence.
The government also adopted a proposal of the National Chemical
Weaponry Banning Commission suggesting that the Ministry of
Economy be determined as the body in charge of implementing a
Convention on banning the development, production, accumulation
and use of chemical weaponry, and on its annihilation.
The Economy Ministry will draft a bill which will determine the
government's obligations towards the Organisation for Banning
Chemical Weaponry and measures necessary for the implementation of
the Convention.
