VARAZDIN, Sept 14 (Hina) - A group of Macedonian and Croatian
citizens have been arrested while trying to illegally cross the
border between Croatia and Slovenia on the night between September
12 and 13.
One Macedonian and four Croatians tried to illegally assist seven
Macedonian citizens to cross into Croatia.
According to a Varazdin Police Department statement, charges are
being brought against the smugglers. While the Macedonian has been
detained, his Croatian helpers will defend themselves out of
custody.
The smuggled persons were fined and have been banned from entering
Croatia for a year.
