ZAGREB, Aug 23 (Hina) - One of the three oldest Croatian hymn books
was found on the Croatian island of Krapanj.
The book was written by Jesuit Atanazije Jurjevic in the 17th
century.
Franjo Zelenika, guardian of the Franciscan monastery on Krapanj,
where the book was found, said the existence of Jurjevic's hymn book
had been known previously. It was several days ago that maestro Miho
Demovic established that the book was one century older than was
first assumed.
The book is in quite a bad shape, and it is being restored.
