SARAJEVO, Aug 20 (Hina) - The Croat member of the Bosnia-
Herzegovina Presidency and president of the New Croat Initiative
(NHI) party, Kresimir Zubak, filed a private law suit against the
president of the Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia-Herzegovina
(HDZ BiH), Ante Jelavic.
The suit was filed on August 17 for libel.
Zubak's lawyer Zarko Bulic said the suit pertained to Jelavic's
statement in Zagreb's weekly "Nacional" of July 21, accusing Zubak
of having been a member of the former Yugoslavia's intelligence
service (KOS) and of pledging allegiance to the service in 1980 in
Pancevo.
Zubak called the claim a lie, adding that he had never in his life
been in Pancevo.
