ZAGREB, July 15 (Hina) - Considerable efforts have to be made on all
levels so as to ensure implementation and success of the programme
for the return of displaced persons and refugees, spokesman for the
Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Mark
Thompson said Wednesday.
OSCE hopes that housing commissions will be established soon,
Thompson said.
These commission have already started operating in some
municipalities, he added, congratulating on their efficiency.
The OSCE spokesman also emphasised the importance of opening a
Croatian consulate in Banja Luka (Republika Srpska) and welcomed
the organisation of Croatian consular days in Banja Luka.
An integral programme for the return of refugees and displaced
people, adopted by the Croatian Government in cooperation with the
U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), was ratified by
Parliament on June 26.
