ZAGREB, July 2 (Hina)- On the occasion of the launching of the
Windows 98 software package on 25 June in San Francisco, the
Microsoft's Zagreb office presented today in Zagreb the standard
English version of the programme.
Although it will not be officially marketed until September,
Windows 98 has been sold here since its launching. Once it is
introduced on the Croatian market, the programme will be sold by a
staff of 1,700 at about 150 authorised Microsoft dealerships in
Croatia, general manager of the Microsoft's Zagreb office, Goran
Radman, estimates.
About 40 per cent of the world's population has access to personal
computers as work tools, state Microsoft's representatives. By the
year 2,001 six out of ten US households will own PCs, assess they. By
that time the percentage of Croatian households with PCs is
expected to grow from the present four per cent to about 20 per cent,
believe they.
