MOSTAR, June 27 (Hina) - About 80 Serb refugees on Saturday visited
family houses in Ortijes, a district in the western, Croat-held
part of Mostar.
The refugees, coming from Nevesinje, Gacka and Trebinje, reached
the southern Bosnia-Herzegovina (BH) town aboard two buses of the
United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
This was the first visit and the announcement of the return of
refugees from the Bosnian Serb entity to the south of the Croat-
Muslim Federation of BH.
About 15 of the visiting refugees intend to stay overnight. They are
guarded by western Mostar police, and NATO-led peace Stabilisation
Force patrols from time to time.
The UNHCR and THW, a humanitarian organisation from Germany, have
ensured food and helped the refugee with temporary accommodation.
