ZAGREB, June 27 (Hina) - The "Mothers for Peace" international
peace congress on Saturday forwarded an appeal to UN Secretary-
General Kofi Annan.
The congress, which began in Zagreb on Friday, gathers more than 200
women from Croatia and the world.
It is being held under the high patronage of Croatian President
Franjo Tudjman.
In their appeal, the participants in the congress supported Annan's
decision by which the Secretary-General approved a NATO
intervention in the south Yugoslav province of Kosovo unless a
political solution to the crisis in the area is reached.
We mothers of Croatia and the whole world expect the violence
against innocent victims will be stopped. We demand that (Yugoslav
President Slobodan) Milosevic's eight-year-long aggression in
these areas be stopped, the appeal said.
