ZAGREB, June 18 (Hina) - The second bilingual Croatian-English
edition of the Croatian Almanac 1998/99, published by the Croatian
news agency HINA, was presented in Zagreb on Thursday.
The Almanac compiles information on Croatia and world.
This edition includes all important events in 1997 and, for the
first time, basic information about world statesmen and the
announcement of events in 1998.
The edition's editor-in-chief and Hina Director, Branko Salaj,
said the second edition of the Almanac was Hina's step into the
future because as of this year the book is available in three forms -
print, CD-ROM and on the Internet.
Salaj also announced that the next printed edition would be
released in the new millennium. The Almanac's content on the
Internet will be updated two to three times a year.
The Hina Director stressed the importance of the Almanac as a source
of information about Croatia abroad.
The Almanac is one of the ways information is being exchanged
between Croatia and other countries, Salaj added.
