ZAGREB, June 18 (Hina) - Dr Andrija Hebrang, head of the doctors'
consultative committee for Croatian President Franjo Tudjman, on
Thursday refuted claims, in entirety, published in an article in
the latest issue of the Globus weekly, which alleged that
"radioactive implants have been implanted into President Tudjman's
organism which destroy radioactive cells".
The statement says: "In the Globus weekly, number 393, of 19 June
1998, an article was published under the announcement 'Still
unreleased statement by the doctors' consultative committee' and
headlined 'Radioactive implants implanted into President
Tudjman's organism which destroy ill cells'. The article declares
that the doctors' consultative committee for the President
approved the implanting of some kind of "self-regulating implants"
which were allegedly implanted under the leadership of foreign
experts.
"There is not one true detail in this news and the whole text is full
of fabricated particulars. The doctors' consultative committee
refutes the mentioned false news in entirety and stands by its last
statement, which needs nothing added to it.
"According to that statement we believe that the Republic's
President has been healed, and that no therapies are being
implemented and that he is fully ready to perform all his daily
commitments," stated Hebrang.
