BOSANSKI SAMAC, June 1 (Hina) - A group of Bosnian Serbs on Sunday
threw stones and bottles on a bus and van carrying some sixty Croat
displaced persons who had arrived in the Zasavica village in the
Bosanski Samac municipality (Bosnian Serb republic in Bosnia-
Herzegovina) to attend mass on All Souls' Day.
One person was wounded.
After mass, the Croats were attacked by Serb refugees who had
settled in the village after Croats had left it in 1992 and 1993.
The visit was organised by the International Police Task Force
Office in Orasje, and by an agreement with the Bosanski Samac
police.
Bosnian Serb police accompanied the bus and van to the village
church which was surrounded by police, so mass passed without
incidents.
The Bosanski Samac pastor, Josip Janjic, who had led the faithful,
said that as soon as the faithful entered the vehicles after mass,
the gathered Serb refugees began throwing stones and bottles at
them.
