LABOUR DAY PARADE BEGINS AT ZAGREB'S MAIN SQUARE

( Editorial: --> 0855 ) ZAGREB, May 1 (Hina) - The Labour Day parade of the Association of Independent Croatian Unions (SSSH) began at Zagreb's main square on Friday morning and is proceeding towards the Maksimir Park, the central location for the celebration of Labour Day. The parade consisting of several hundred people includes president of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Ivica Racan, president of the Liberal Party (LS) Vlado Gotovac and president of the Croatian Helsinki Committee Ivan Zvonimir Cicak. The marking of Labour Day began with the laying of wreaths in memory of killed Croatian soldiers in front of the Main Cross at Zagreb's cemetery Mirogoj.
