BEIJING, April 23 (Hina)- Croatian Army Chief-of-Staff Lt. Gen.
Pavao Miljavac met with Chinese Defence Minister, General Chi
Haoti, on Thursday.
Chi said that relations between Croatia and China are developing
well. He emphasised that Sino-Croat friendship did not commence in
1992 when diplomatic relations were established, but decades
earlier, in the period of the anti-fascist struggle.
Chi and Miljavac talked about military cooperation, political
relations in Europe and Asia and China's position and role in them,
Croatia's constructive policies, as well as the need for
cooperation on principles of peace-loving politics and not
interfering in other people's business.
Chi expressed Chinese readiness for cooperation. The framework of
cooperation will be agreed on after the Chinese Defence Ministry
studies the outlined agreement which the Croatian side suggested.
Chi also extended an invitation to the Croatian Defence Minister,
Gojko Susak, to officially visit China.
