7 KILLED & 1 SEVERELY WOUNDED IN KILLING SPREE IN SLAVONSKI BROD

( Editorial: --> 6852 ) SLAVONSKI BROD, April 15 (Hina) - Around 10pm on Tuesday night, Antun M. (aged 51) killed seven and severly wounded one person in a pub in the village of Podvinje, near Slavonski Brod, Slavonski Brod County police superintendent Marko Rasic told a press conference on Wednesday. After he had a drink in the pub "Trenk", Antun M. went out only to come back with a 7.62-mm rifle and with no apparent reason opened fire on other guests in the pub. After the shooting, he drove off in a "Zastava 750" car, having taken the weapon with him. Around 1:45 am, police officers heard an explosion at a shooting range near Slavonski Brod. An investigation showed that a vehicle "Zastava 750" was destroyed in the explosion. Police found a body of a male person in the driver's seat. It is presumed that the body belongs to Antun M. Killed in the shooting were Tomislav Farkas (aged 33), Ivan Vrdoljak (40), Ilija Odobasic (24), Ivica Sabljak (35), Gordana Lesar (22) and Marijan Spehar (19).
