BUENOS AIRES, April 11 (Hina) - Argentinean newspapers on Saturday
ran articles about Croatia's intention to request the deferral of
the former commander of the Jasenovac concentration camp during
World War II, Dinko Sakic, who is currently living in Argentina.
However, they wrote, Argentinean authorities had not yet issued a
warrant for his arrest, and he might have left Argentina.
Papers "La Nacion" and "Clarin" warned on Saturday that Sakic's
whereabouts have been unknown for several days.
After Argentinean President Carlos Mehem on Tuesday issued an order
that proceedings be initiated against him, Sakic disappeared from
his house in Santa Teresita, 340 km south-east of Buenos Aires.
Missing are also his wife Esperanza Luburic and son Tomas, 49.
According to "Clarin", Tomas's sportswear shop in the centre of
Santa Teresita has been closed since Wednesday.
