PRESIDENT TUDJMAN RELAYES EASTER MESSAGE

( Editorial: --> 6007 ) ZAGREB, April 10 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman forwarded an Easter message to the Archbishop of Zagreb and president of the Croatian Bishops' Conference, Josip Bozanic, and to all Christians. "Easter is the biggest Christian holiday, the day on which Christ's victory and resurrection gives hope, strength and faith in life and freedom to all Christians. We celebrate this Easter for the first time in a completely free Homeland, looking forward, after years of suffering, to the return of all displaced persons to their homes and their peaceful coexistence with members of the Serb ethnic community who have accepted the Croatian state as their Homeland. Let the joy of Easter shed light on all Croatian citizens and all Croats in Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and the world, with hope that the suffering and exile will never happen again. To the young I wish this year's celebration of Easter, remembering Christ's Golgotha and all Croatian way of the cross, be a stimulus for cultivating high moral values in the development of our Homeland. In this faith, I wish all Croatians Christians and people of good will a joyful and blessed Easter and Easter holidays filled with peace, reconciliation and reconstruction of family and national unity," Tudjman said in his statement.
