STOLAC, April 6 (Hina) - Deputy International High Representative
in Bosnia-Herzegovina Hans Schumacher visited Stolac in southern
Bosnia-Herzegovina on Monday.
Schumacher also visited the nearby village of Poplasici where
Bosniak (Muslim) refugees have been returning lately.
Schumacher said he was satisfied with the latest return of Bosniaks
to the area of Stolac.
He also announced the possibility of lifting sanctions for Stolac
if the positive development continues.
The Deputy High Representative also said he did not want to
underestimate the seriousness of incidents in the Stolac area, but
added that people he talked to showed a real willingness to improve
the situation.
The most important thing is that the return to Stolac is not going
only one way, he added.
Croat refugees, who are now in Stolac, have the opportunity to
return to their homes in Bugojno, Kakanj and Vares, said Schumacher
adding the situation in those towns was developing positively.
