ZAGREB, April 3 (Hina) - The German and French Foreign Ministers
have sent a letter to their Croatian counterpart Mate Granic
praising the good organisation and constructive talks made during
their recent successful visit to Croatia.
A statement from the Croatian Foreign Ministry spokesman said that
in their letter, Germany's Klaus Kinkel and France's Hubert Vedrine
"welcomed progress regarding the return of refugees and the
implementation of the Dayton-Paris accords, especially
emphasising the support of Croatian President Dr. Franjo Tudjman
for implementation of the Dayton agreement".
"Ministers Vedrine and Kinkel once again confirmed their readiness
to - in light of implementation of agreed-to measures, especially
the presentation of concrete plans for refugee return - use their
influence with their EU partners to improve their relations with
Croatia", especially regarding funds for reconstruction and
Croatia's accession to the PHARE (assistance) programme, the
statement said.
