ZUBAK EXCLUSIVELY WANTED CRITICISE THE MUSLIM SIDE - GELBARD

( Editorial: --> 3145 ) ZAGREB, Mar 29 (Hina) - The Croat member at the Bosnian Presidency, Kresimir Zubak, did not want to talk about what the Croat side in the Croat-Muslim Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina has to do, but exclusively criticised the other side, the United States President's special envoy for the former Yugoslavia said in Zagreb Saturday in relation to the talks he conducted with Zubak earlier in the day. Special envoy Robert Gelbard's meeting with Zubak in Sarajevo was interrupted after half an hour. Zubak said the cause was Gelbard's non-diplomatic approach. Today's meeting with Zubak was very difficult, Gelbard said after talks he later in the day held in Zagreb with Croatian President Franjo Tudjman. But such meetings have already taken place with the Bosniak (Muslim) side as well, he added. The special envoy said he was genuinely tired of and frustrated with the fact that the Croat and Bosniak sides point fingers at and accuse each other instead of focusing on what they have to do. Gelbard said he expected both sides to do a lot more in the implementation of the Dayton and Washington peace agreements. My relations with Zubak have been very positive over the last few years, Gelbard said, adding he hoped they would continue along that line. He assessed that with the currently pro-Dayton and pro-democratic government in the Bosnian Serb entity, it was normal that there was more focus on the Croat-Muslim Federation. "I told Zubak, and Bosniaks as well: stop worrying about others. We worry about others, you worry about yourselves. Only when you are perfect or at least close to perfection can you criticise others", Gelbard emphasised. He said his talks with Federation Vice Presidents Vladimir Soljic and Ejup Ganic had been very good. Yesterday, he also met with Bosnian Presidency chairman Alija Izetbegovic.
