KRAPINA, March 10 (Hina)- A Government delegation, consisting of PM
Zlatko Matesa and Ministers Nenad Porges, Andrija Hebrang, Zeljko
Luzavec,Sergej Morsan and Milan Kovac discussed today in Krapinske
Toplice, 50 kilometres north of Zagreb, plans for the development
of health and recreational capacities of that reknown Croatian
health spa.
A top of the line cardiological department was recently built next
to the local hospital for physiotherapy. The Government delegation
was informed about an imminent reconstruction of the spas' pool
facilities, which will be open all year long, as well as about plans
for the construction of a convention centre and some new hotels.
Thanks to existing communal infrastracture and a 40 Centigrade
spring supplying 80 litres of water per second, Krapinske Toplice
can build a hotel with 2,500 beds.
In the nearby hotel and recreation spa, Tuheljske Toplice, the
Government delegation also discussed implementation of its
development programs. The management told the delegation that they
were planning to invest US$20 million in a five star hotel and a
health centre with medicinal mud.
