ZAGREB, 2 March (Hina) - In its decision of 26 February 1998, the
Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Tribunal for Former
Yugoslavia (ICTY) accepted Croatia's appeal lodged against the
issuing of a binding order in the Blaskic case and returned the
document to the Trial Chamber for a review, the Croatian Government
Office for Cooperation with ICTY said Monday.
The Appeals Chamber also suspended the execution of the binding
order until the Trial Chamber reaches a decision.
The Office recalls that the binding order calls for the producing of
documents concerning the Blaskic case.
Croatia remains consistent in fulfilling international-legal
obligations concerning its cooperation with ICTY, the Office
said.
