ZAGREB, Feb 21 (Hina) - According to Saturday reports from Zagreb
hospitals, several persons were injured during last night's union
protest meeting in Zagreb.
Five lightly injured persons received medical help on the spot,
medical workers said, without giving details as to whether the
injured were protesters or police officers.
Seven injured - two police officers and five civilians - were
received in the trauma centre in Draskoviceva street. Six of them
were lightly injured and one received serious wounds.
After they were given medical help, the patients were released,
while the seriously wounded police officer was kept in hospital.
One lightly injured civilian received medical help in the general
hospital Sveti Duh.
Last night's statement by the Interior Ministry said that six
police officers were injured, two of them seriously, in the attacks
on the police.
