MOSTAR, Feb 10 (Hina) - SFOR and canton police on Monday night
stepped up patrols on a Mostar road which once formed the frontline
between fighting Bosniaks (Muslims) and Croats.
Patrols have been increased along Bulevar because of repeated
explosions in the Muslim controlled suburb of Donja Mahala, which
the road passes through, representatives of international
organisations operating in the Mostar area told journalists on
Tuesday.
The UN's Mostar spokeswoman Kelly Moore said at least seven
explosions were heard in the southern town of Bosnia-Herzegovina
last week but these were not reported to police.
Moore said two people were killed and three injured in the 13
reported explosions in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton since the
beginning of this year.
