WORLD ASSOCIATION OF HUNGARIANS TO REPAIR WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM IN LASLOVO

LASLOVO ( Editorial: --> 0746 ) OSIJEK, Feb 10 (Hina) - In the next ten days, the World Association of Hungarians will try to find a donor for the reconstruction of the water supply system in Laslovo, a village in Osijek County. Before the war, Laslovo had 1,300 residents, and 45% of them were Hungarians. After a meeting with the president of the World Association of Hungarians, Sandor Csoori, the head of Ernestinovo municipality Ladislav Ferenc on Tuesday told Hina that Hungarian representatives were shocked at the degree of destruction of Laslovo. A delegation of the World Association of Hungarians visited Laslovo on Monday. The village is part of the Ernestinovo municipality. Ferenc said he and the Hungarian ambassador to Croatia Zsolt Szalay had agreed that Hungarian Stabilisation Force (SFOR) units would be sent to Laslovo, where they will remove rubbish dumps and clean canals.
