SARAJEVO, 9 Feb (Hina) - SFOR's strategy reserves will hold
military exercises in Bosnia-Herzegovina from 25 March to 7 April.
SFOR's strategy reserves were formed in December 1996 and stationed
outside of Bosnia-Herzegovina to enable a quick response to a
breakout of any crisis in that country.
The "Dynamic Response" exercise will be the first appearance of the
strategy reserves on the territory of Bosnia-Herzegovina since
their formation.
SFOR spokesman Louis Garneau said on Monday in Sarajevo it was
expected that 1800 soldiers, sailors, pilots and marines from
Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Rumania, Turkey and the United
States would participate in the exercise.
Garneau did not give the exact location of the exercise.
The marines will arrive in Bosnia-Herzegovina via the Croatian
ports of Ploce and Split.
