TUDJMAN CONFIRMS APPOINTMENT OF PRIMORJE-GORSKI KOTAR PREFECT

( Editorial: --> 8150 ) ZAGREB, Jan 30 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman Thursday passed decisions confirming the appointment of Milivoj Brozin as prefect and Teodor Antic and Luka Denona as deputy prefects of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. The appointments were proposed by the Croatian Government. Tudjman received Brozin, Antic and Denona Thursday, a statement from the President's office said. Wishing them success in carrying out their tasks, President Tudjman said they must see to local necessities and interests and that, as state officials, they had the duty to consistently implement the Constitution, laws and state policy. Present at the meeting were also Tudjman's chief of staff Hrvoje Sarinic, and Tudjman's advisors for interior affairs, Ivic Pasalic, and local self-government and government, Franjo Kajfez.
