BECHTEL CORPORATION TO BUILD ROADS IN CROATIA

( Editorial: --> 7618 ) ZAGREB, 27 Jan (Hina)- Croatian Reconstruction and Development Minister Jure Radić and Charles Redman, vice president of the American construction company Bechtel, discussed today in Zagreb details about the construction of legs of the future Zagreb- Dubrovnik motorway which will be passing through the territory of Croatia, said Ministry of Reconstruction and Development. As has been already reported, as early as April 1996, Prime Ministers of Croatia and the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina and the US Secretary of Commerce Mickey Cantor signed a letter of intent on the construction of the aforementioned motorway. Part of the motorway will pass through Bosnia-Herzegovina, whose senior officials welcomed the project. The Croatian Government and the Bechtel are expected to imminently sign an agreement on joint construction of the Croatian leg of the motorway, which will commence already by the end of June.
