BJELOVAR, Jan 23 (Hina)- The storm that hit some parts of Croatia
between Wednesday and Thursday blew away, but its effects are still
felt.
Water levels in the rivers that flooded some areas of the Bjelovar-
Bilogora county in NW Croatia have dropped, but the state of
emergency has not been called off yet and some local roads are still
closed for traffic.
Electricity has still not been restored in some Slavonian villages
that were left without power after stormy winds damaged the
transmission lines. It was not until Friday that repair teams of
Croatian Power Company made it to some damaged transmission lines.
A section of the Slavonian railroad (eastern Croatia) is also
closed for traffic. The stormed pulled out about 130 telephone
posts which are blocking the treck between some stations.
