WAR INVALID TAKES HOSTAGES IN SPLIT

( Editorial: --> 6707 ) SPLIT, 23 Jan (Hina) - An invalid of the Homeland War Vladimir Benac on Friday morning took hostages in the Split-Dalmatia County Police building and threatened them with a rocket launcher. His hostages were people waiting at the counter. He freed the hostages when the Police Commander Marko Bekavac agreed to speak with him. Their meeting is still running. At around 11.00am Benac broke through security gates in a white BMW, hit a wall, broke a window and armed ran into the building.
