PLOCE, 19 Jan (Hina) - The US ship 'Advantage', carrying 16,370
tonnes of food for towns in Bosnia-Herzegovina, entered Ploce
harbour, central Adriatic, on Monday.
The ship's journey which started in Houston was organised by the
international shipping agency Adriatic-agent.
Apart from 5,000 tonnes of wheat and 7,000 tonnes of flour, the
freight also includes a large amount of beans, oil and rice for
Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Doboj, Zenica, Tuzla and Bijeljina.
The freight is a donation by American religious organisations for
war victims in Bosnia-Herzegovina, the American Red Cross and the
United Nations' "World Food Programme".
The Adriatic-agent representative Vlado Tomasevic said the aid
will most likely be freighted from Ploce by rail or road transport
firms to the many destinations in Bosnia-Herzegovina during
January and February.
