ROAD & TOURIST MAP OF SLAVONIA & BARANJA PRESENTED IN OSIJEK

( Editorial: --> 3303 ) OSIJEK, Jan 9 (Hina) - A road map of five counties in eastern Croatia was presented in Osijek Friday. The map also points out the area's tourist attractions. According to Zoran Kovacevic, president of the Osijek County Chamber, the map aims to improve the promotion of tourist attractions of eastern Croatia, especially the natural reserve Kopacki Rit, the hunting grounds of the Slavonia and Baranja regions, and the tourist offer of Vukovar and Ilok. The impending termination of the UNTAES mandate provides all preconditions for developing tourism, especially due to freedom of movement, said Drago Ruzic, president of the local Tourist Union. Ruzic announced a new brochure, "The Croatian Danubian Region", to be issued later this month, and a home page featuring the area's tourist attractions on the Internet. (hina) ha mm 091442 MET jan 98
