MOSTAR, Jan 7 (Hina) - Croat and Bosniak (Muslim) officials on
Wednesday again failed to adjust viewpoints concerning a cantonal
bill on the judiciary.
The Bosniak side refuses to abandon its proposal that only one court
be established in Mostar, the vice president of the Herzegovina-
Neretva Canton Government, Franjo Ljubic, told reporters after
today's session.
The Croat side, on the other hand, proposed six courts for each of
Mostar's six municipalities, he explained.
Ljubic pointed out that according to the Constitution of the Croat-
Muslim Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Dayton peace
agreement, the organisation of the judiciary envisages "that
municipal courts have original authority, i.e. that each
municipality may have a court".
