ZAGREB, Dec 21 (Hina) - Croatian non-government organisation the Organised Election Monitoring by Citizens (GONG) demanded that the Ethics Commission amend the Electoral Ethics Codex, in order that regulations on the behaviour of
participants in the elections could be implemented on non-government associations as well, namely actions of parties towards them, it was stressed at a press conference on Tuesday. Their demand is the result of attacks on certain political parties and their programme. Commenting on the warning of the Electoral Commission to non-government associations to restrain themselves from expressing their standpoints on political parties and candidates running at the election, GONG representatives stressed they never promoted nor they would promote any political option. The GONG currently has 3,974 citizens registered for monitoring the parliamentary elections in January, it was stressed at the press
