POZEGA POZEGA, Dec 5 (Hina) - Rain which was falling the entire day and the melting of the snow caused the Orljava River (eastern Croatia) to rise and is threatening the town of Pozega. The river partially carried off the construction
of a new bridge being built in downtown Pozega whose opening ceremony had been announced in 20 days. A hydroelectric power plant construction site has also suffered flooding. Workers are attempting to raise a levy, but after the water withdraws there will still be difficulties in continuing the works, head of the "Orljava-Londza" water-management office, Mihael Polak said.
