SPLIT, Nov 25 (Hina) - Thirty Kurds who entered Croatia illegally with the aim of reaching Italy were discovered Wednesday in a village near Split (central Adriatic). Two citizens of Bosnia-Herzegovina, J.M., 26, and Z.S., 32, are
suspected of organising the illegal border crossing and charges have been filed against them. Split-Dalmatia County police suspects J.M. to have organised the transport of the Kurds into Croatia from Bosnia-Herzegovina. An unidentified person transported the Kurds into Croatia and took them to Podstrana near Split where they were welcomed by J.M. and Z.S. who planned to take them to Italy by trawler. There is some information that the transferral of one person is paid somewhere between DM2,000 and DM3,000, police said.
