ZAGREB ZAGREB, Nov 25 (Hina) - Several hundred employees of one of Croatia's biggest store chains, NAMA, blocked tram traffic in front of a NAMA store in the centre of Zagreb Thursday. The workers organised this rally because the
Government did not fulfil the requests of unions for restructuring the store chain and taking care of redundancies. The NAMA unions are requesting that NAMA's 260 million kuna (US$ 34.67 million) debt to the Privredna Bank Zagreb be transferred to the Agency for Insuring Savings Investments and Bank Rehabilitation. They are also requesting that NAMA be restructures, employees paid their salaries from the government budget as long as the chain's rehabilitation is underway, as well as that redundant employees be taken care of.(hina) lml
