The Croatian film was awarded among 20 competitors from all over the
world.
The festival, for which more than 4,000 films are registered every
year, was held in Flagstaff from November 5 to 14.
Red Dust thus became the first Croatian movie to have been awarded
in the United States since the gaining of Croatia's independence.
Interfilm-press said this would "certainly help promote Red Dust at
the upcoming competitions for the Oscars".
