ZAGREB, Nov 7 (Hina) - Temperatures were higher in October throughout Croatia than the average measured in the last 30 years. The mean of monthly temperatures went between 6.1 Celsius on Zavizan (Mount Velebit) and 18.8 Celsius in the
southern coastal town of Dubrovnik and Komiza on the island of Vis. According to figures of the State Weather Bureau, rainfall was normal for this part of the year. The eastern Croatian city of Osijek saw the least quantity of rain, while most rain fell on Zavizan last month. Weather stations reported that there were more sunny hours in October than on average. The biggest positive departure from the normal was registered in Zavizan where even 40.6 more sunny hours were in October as against the average amount. The seaport of Rijeka, another coastal town of Zadar and Mali Losinj on the island of Losinj enjoyed less sunny hours than usually in October.(hina) ms
