PARIS PARIS, Nov 2 (Hina) - Croatian Culture Minister Bozo Biskupic on Tuesday attended the round table of culture ministers, organised as a special seminar as a part of the current session of the UNESCO General Assembly in Paris,
which aims at providing basis for the draft of a programme strategy from 2002 until 2007. At Tuesday afternoon's discussion called culture and creativity in the time of globalisation, Biskupic pointed to the importance of understanding between different cultures and advocated that culture be "the bridge between certain civilisations". Addressing the problem of pluralism and integration of cultures, Biskupic stressed they were contradictory processes, because integration with the culture of larger nations always carries the danger for the culture of smaller nations. "However, Croatia has a good example. Thanks to the culture, we survived in our region for 13 centuries", Biskupic said
