CAKOVEC, Oct 29 (Hina) - Medjumurje County in northern Croatia will be represented by County Prefect Branko Levacic at the European Regions Assembly, scheduled for the beginning of December in Lions. Medjumurje is the third Croatian
county, following Istria and Primorje-Gorski Kotar counties at the northern Adriatic, to be included in this European association. Medjumurje County Assembly on Friday held a session and decided to appoint Levacic for its representative. Levacic announced the conclusion and signing of an agreement on cooperation with the nearby Hungarian county Zal and the nearby Slovene region Prekmurje (Mura River Valley area). Levacic told the Assembly that in 1998 the Hungarian area had received 70 million German marks as the direct assistance from various sources and forms of the European integration associations.
