11 TRAMS DAMAGED, 69 PEOPLE TAKEN TO POLICE STATIONS IN ZAGREB

ZAGREB ZAGREB, Oct 10 (Hina) - Several incidents occurred in Zagreb on Saturday afternoon when the national teams of Croatia and Yugoslavia played a match within the European soccer championships qualifier. Eleven trams were damaged, Zagreb police reported. Four of them were damaged ahead of the match while another seven were ruined while spectators were leaving the Maksimir Stadium after the end of the match. In those incidents trams' window glasses were smashed and bulbs in carriages were broken. Besides, a bus of the city's public transport company (ZET), was also damaged after the end of the game. A total of 69 persons were taken to police stations in Zagreb in that period. Three persons were taken by police as they possessed drugs, one was apprehended as he possessed a forged ticket for the match and one was apprehended while he was ruining a tram.
