SUMMARY OF SEVENTH DAY OF MILITARY WORLD GAMES

ZAGREB, Aug 16 (Hina) - Croatian competitors at the 2nd Military World Games won five medals during the seventh day of the competition. The most surprising event of the seventh day was the gold medal awarded to boxer Filip Palic. The silver was won by sprinter Rahela Markt, while the bronze medals went to swimming relay team 4 x 100 metres, the volley ball team and athletic competitor Branko Zorko. Croatian boxer Filip Palic was awarded the gold in the lightweight category defeating German Kay Huste with a result of 11:2 in points. In addition to Palic's gold, Croatian boxers have taken two bronze medals going to Stjepan Bozic in the 75 kg category and Igor Bilic in the over 91 kg category. Sprinter Rahela Markt and medium length runner Branko Zorko took the silver and bronze medals and were the most successful Croatian athletes at these games.
