KARLOVAC, July 5 (Hina) - There have been no major delays in the
first July wave of passengers travelling toward the Croatian
Adriatic coast.
According to the police in Karlovac, a town of transit for all those
travelling from inland Croatia to the Adriatic coast, drivers have
been very patient.
The Croatian Auto Club (HAK) cautions all those who intend to travel
and lack air condition in their vehicles to set off late in the

The same source reported that traffic has been intensified and that
minor delays are possible on all major entrances to Croatia.
All ferry lines are operating regularly.
The bridge linking the mainland with the island of Pag, as well as
the bridges on the Sava River toward Bosnia-Herzegovina at Stara
Gradiska and Slavonski Brod (eastern Slavonia) are closed due to
reconstruction works until further notice.
Since 6 pm last Friday, a total of 92,700 vehicles with foreign and
Croatian registration plates, heading towards the northern and
central Adriatic, have passed through eight road toll stations in
Karlovac (some 50 km south of Zagreb).
In the past three days, there have been 26 accidents connected with
driving in columns in the Karlovac area. Four persons were
seriously injured in these accidents, of whom three have been
hospitalised in Karlovac.
