ZAGREB, June 11 (Hina) - Croatia and Benelux countries on Friday signed an agreement on the cancellation of visas and an agreement on accepting persons whose entrance or stay in the countries is illegal (the o-called Re-Admission
Agreement). The agreement on the cancellation of visas signed with Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, will become effective after the ratification of the Re-Admission Agreement in all four countries, which is expected to happen within six months. The agreements were signed in Zagreb on Friday by Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic, and Dutch and Belgian ambassadors to Croatia, Ida Leonore Van Veldhuzer Ruthenbuecher and Frans Hintjens. With the agreement with Benelux, Croatia has cancelled visas with all western European countries and has only to solve the issue of Scandinavian suspension of the decision on the cancellation of visas for Croatian citizens.(hina) lml jn
