ZAGREB COMPANY MAKES MINI BREWERIES FOR GERMAN BEER-LOVERS

ZAGREB, June 9 (Hina) - The Zagreb-based company IPIM benz d.o.o. will construct five mini breweries for the German market, and all five plants are the result of work of domestic experts and the application of domestic technology. The first mini plant, worth almost DM600,000, will be installed in a brewery in Langwedle near Bremen. There are plans for Croatian experts and manufacturers of furniture and other equipment to take over all installation and equipment works. Another mini brewery, worth DM840,000, is to be installed in Jena, after which construction works on a brewery in Berlin will start. As of next year, annual contracts worth at least five million German marks, will be implemented on the German market, the owner of IPIM benz, Ivo Naukovic, told a press conference in Zagreb on Wednesday. So far, the company has constructed 16 mini breweries in Croatia, Austria, the Czech Republic, Russia and Slovenia. The capacity of these mini plants is between 600 and 6000 litres daily. The IPIM mini breweries are competitive on the European market, with their prices being 30-40 per cent lower than the competition's, Naukovic said, adding American and Japanese clients were also interested in purchasing them.
