Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on Friday received a delegation
of Serb minority representatives, including Milorad Pupovac,
Vojislav Stanimirovic and Jovan Bamburac.
"In talks with the Serb representatives, the President resented
that they have not condemned the crimes committed during the Yugo-
communist and Great-Serbian aggression on Croatia, but are instead
making statements saying that what happened in Croatia was a civil
war, which is contrary to the truth and the clear stands of world
leaders", a statement from the President's Office said.
"Such statements, as well as statements saying that war criminals
are sitting in the Vukovar Town Council, do not contribute to the
further normalisation of life in the Croatian Danube River
region".
Croatian authorities will continue the process of the
establishment of trust, as well as the implementation of the
Amnesty Act, which is a process requiring the support of the Serb
minority as well, the statement read.
Present at the meeting at President Tudjman's side were his Chief-
Of-Staff Ivica Kostovic, parliament vice-president Vladimir Seks
and the advisor on political issues, Vesna Skare-Ozbolt.
